Now Hiring Therapist/Counselor: The Jasper County Health Department behavioral health division is currently expanding services. We provide outpatient mental health treatment, substance use disorder treatment, DUI and Risk Education services and have consulting psychiatric services for psychotropic medication needs of our clients. At Jasper County Health Department, our employees have an opportunity to make a difference every day by helping people with mental health and substance use issues gain control of their lives. Bachelor’s degree in human services field or CADC required, Master’s degree preferred. Job duties include:
  • Assessing consumers, establishing diagnoses, developing treatment plans collaboratively with consumers by defining goals, specific outcomes and time-frames for treatment.
  • Providing counseling and clinical services to consumers
  • Providing crisis intervention to stabilize consumer's condition by utilizing short-term crisis intervention techniques and/or referral to other support services.
  • Plans, develops, and facilitates group programs to be used with consumers.

Receptionist/Billing Specialist: Minimum Requirements for Education and Experience: minimum high school graduate or equivalent, preferred (but not required) one years’ office experience.
  • Provides secretarial and receptionist support services for Behavioral Health team.
  • Processes billing for 3rd party reimbursement.
  • Requires skills in use of computer, fax machine, copier and other office equipment
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain focus in a busy office setting required
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills required
  • If meet requirements for RSA, MHP or QMHP, with adequate supervision, provides Medicaid Rule 132 services and SUPR Rule 2060 services as appropriate for current education and experience level.
